Submit an Application Form

Walford welcomes applications for enrolment any time after birth. Early applications are encouraged to increase the likelihood of securing a place in your selected entry year.

To apply, please submit an online application via our Application Portal. This is a straightforward process and should only take 5-10 minutes. Please make sure you include a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport.

A $75 non-refundable fee applies when an application for admission is made to the School or the ELC. A reduced fee will apply for children and grandchildren of Walford Old Scholars and for siblings applying for admission at the same time.

Once we have received a completed application, including payment of the application fee, your family will receive a letter of confirmation from the School. We cannot confirm your child's intent to enrol without completing this step in full.

Please note that an application alone does not secure a place. Once the application is submitted, students may be placed on a waiting list for entry.

Transition from our ELC

To support families with a seamless transition from the ELC to the School, and to avoid missing out on a Reception class placement, we encourage families to register for enrolment in the School as part of their ELC application.

Girls enrolled in the ELC are given priority for Reception.

Enrolment Interview

After submitting your online application successfully, you'll receive a confirmation email. Your child will then be added to our enrolment register, aligning with the intended year of entry.

Our Head of Enrolments will contact you to arrange a student interview, typically scheduled one to two years before the intended entry date. Please remember to inform the School of any updates to your contact information to ensure accurate records are on the enrolment register.

Interviews are conducted with prospective students and families by the relevant Heads of School. If your daughter has applied for a place in our Boarding House, the Head of Boarding will also attend.

Confirmation of Enrolment

Walford offers places to students up to two years before their intended year of entry. Once the letter has been received, families can accept the place by completing the required enrolment documentation and paying the non-refundable enrolment fee.

Transition to Walford

Once enrolled, we maintain regular communication with families. Before officially joining Walford, we encourage girls to spend at least one day in our classrooms.

In the term leading up to their start date, incoming students participate in our Orientation and Transition Program. This program aims to ensure a positive and seamless transition into life at Walford for both the students and their families.

We can confirm enrolments throughout the year and at short notice if vacancies arise. Please contact the Head of Enrolments for further information.
