Our warm and welcoming environment
Our warm, carefully curated Reception suite includes two learning spaces, a dedicated atelier for creativity, and engaging role-play areas that encourage imagination, collaboration and communication.
Our approach to learning
Strong foundations in literacy and numeracy are developed through Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI), providing the knowledge and confidence girls need to thrive in the inquiry and research of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
With small class sizes and a personalised approach, every girl receives the right balance of support, consolidation, extension and enrichment. Flexible learning experiences ensure each child is challenged at the right level and encouraged to reach her full potential.
From their very first year of school, Reception girls also enjoy specialist learning in Music, Languages, Physical Education and Art, enriching their learning beyond the classroom. Above all, we want our youngest learners to be happy—to belong, to thrive, to love learning, and to begin their Walford journey with confidence and joy.
