Where is Walford located?
Walford Anglican School for Girls is located in the leafy suburb of Hyde Park, just 4 kilometres south of the Adelaide CBD. Positioned alongside Unley, Malvern, Millswood and Parkside, the School is centrally located and easily accessible from across Adelaide via public transport and our school bus network.
In addition to our main campus, Walford has a dedicated Parks Playing Fields on the corner of Cross Road and Old Belair Road, and a boatshed at West Lakes that supports our rowing program.
For families living further afield, Walford also offers boarding for regional, rural and international students.
What school services are available to support families?
Walford provides practical school services to support busy family routines, including Out of School Hours Care, extended library hours, the Fig Tree Café, School Shop, IT support and bus services. These services are designed to make day-to-day school life more convenient, connected and well supported for students and families.
Does Walford offer a school bus service?
Yes. Walford offers school bus services for students from Reception to Year 12, with routes regularly reviewed to make pick-up and drop-off points as convenient as possible. Walford also provides a daily morning shuttle bus to St Peter’s College for boys of all ages, supporting families with children at both schools.
Is there supervised care for older students after school?
Yes. The Secondary School Library is open to students from Year 5 to Year 12 on weekdays during term from 7.45am until 6.00pm. Students can sign into the library and remain under supervision until collected by their parents, with no fee for this service.
What support is available for school technology and parent systems?
Walford’s IT staff are available to assist students and families with technology requirements, including support for the Parent Portal and learning management system. This helps families stay connected with school information, communication and student learning systems.
