Junior School Campus
From enchanted play spaces to cosy reading nooks adorned with vibrant colours and soft cushions, our Junior School sparks creativity and joy.
Alongside these whimsical realms of play, the campus boasts our Early Learning Centre, extensive Junior Library and STEAM Makerspace as well as our swimming pool and state-of-the-art Sports Centre featuring indoor courts, a viewing platform, a fitness room, rowing machines and a movement/dance studio, which is enjoyed by all students from the early years to Year 12.
Our ELC is a co-educational haven for our youngest learners. It offers an inclusive and captivating atmosphere, emphasising wellbeing and inquiry-based play, thoughtfully curated within indoor and outdoor environments.
Secondary School Campus
Our Secondary campus hosts Middle and Senior School students, including boarders from rural SA, interstate, and overseas. Walford boasts lush grounds, featuring the Heart of Walford for outdoor study and gatherings. Fig Tree Café
Walford’s Fig Tree Café is located in the heart of the School and offers nutritionally-balanced menu items for recess and lunch purchase. The cafeteria uses the FlexiSchools cashless student account system for online lunch ordering. Menu items cater to all dietary requirements and age ranges, including our ELC.
Boarding House
The Walford Boarding House is renowned for its caring, family-like atmosphere and the diversity it brings to the Walford community, with girls from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Setting the benchmark in modern boarding facilities, the rooms within the eight apartments are grouped around a central common room and kitchenette, creating a familiar, homely ambience where girls can relax together and feel genuinely at home. All rooms, whether twin or single, include a study area and private bathroom.

Sport Facilities
For our sportswomen and athletes, Parks Playing Field and Pavilion, and the boatshed at West Lakes provide outstanding sporting facilities and a focus for training and competition. Elite sports students in the Walford High Performance Athlete Academy use these facilities as well as the Sports Centre on the Junior Campus to develop their skills, strength and conditioning.

Facilities Hire
Various facilities across the School including the Helen Reid Hall, St Elizabeth Chapel, Boarding House and parks pavilion and playing field are available for hire.

Helen Reid Hall
Our versatile auditorium and performance venue, Helen Reid Hall, can accommodate up to 340 guests. With tiered seating and professional sound and lighting systems, it's suitable for lectures, presentations, and artistic showcases such as dance and music performances. A kitchen and servery provide catering options upon request.
St Elizabeth Chapel
Our chapel can accommodate up to 120 people and features stunning stained glass windows by South Australian glass artist, Cedar Prest. The venue is also fitted with modern projection technology, making it suitable for smaller meetings and seminars.
Sports Centre
Walford's state-of-the-art Sports Centre – including our dance studio and two indoor sports courts with sprung floors – is available for hire.
Boarding House
Our 70-bed Boarding House is available for hire during non-term times only, and subject to approval by the School. Hire can include full catering if required.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do drop-off, pick-up and parking work?
There is a kiss-and-drop zone outside the Walford ELC, with other convenient drop-off points on Commercial Road and Fashoda Street. Families new to Walford receive practical arrival and parking information before commencement. For families with children at both Walford and St Peter’s College, Walford works with St Peter’s College to offer a bus service for brothers travelling on to St Peter’s College, making the morning routine simpler for families.
