Welcome from the Head of Junior School

The Junior School years are a remarkable time of curiosity, growth and discovery. At Walford, every girl is known, valued and supported to achieve her best, her way, within a warm and close-knit community where wellbeing underpins all that we do.

Our students are encouraged to embrace every opportunity, both in and beyond the classroom. Through our balanced approach of explicit teaching and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), girls develop strong foundations while becoming confident inquirers, creative thinkers and compassionate young people. Whether through sport, music, leadership, service, clubs, camps or our Catalyst enrichment program, every girl is challenged to discover her strengths, pursue her passions and flourish.
