Walford is thrilled to share the stellar academic results of our Class of 2022. Our top ATAR was 99.95, with six students achieving an ATAR above 99 (top 1% nationally). 33% of our SACE cohort achieved an ATAR of 95+ and 59% scored an ATAR of 90+. With a median ATAR of 91.60 and 100% of students achieving their SACE, we are immensely proud to see the girls’ hard work and dedication be rewarded with such exemplary results.
Following on from the announcement of our fantastic SACE results, we would like to share some standout individual achievements. Sienna Moreau attained an ATAR of 99.80 with merits in Biology (2021), Chemistry and Physics. Imke Mentz achieved an ATAR of 99.50 with a merit in Chemistry and Ella Hamilton earned an ATAR of 99.45 with merits in French (continuers) and English. Prathicksha Venkatesan achieved an ATAR of 99.35 with a merit in the Research Project (2021) and Jacqueline Gilbert attained an ATAR of 99.25 with merits in Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. These results placed them in the top 1% nationally.
Following a rigorous and enriching program of study over two years, our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students have demonstrated great commitment and tenacity. Walford congratulates our 2022 Dux of IB Ioanna Vaughan-Jones who achieved an outstanding score of 40/45, earning her an ATAR of 97.50. Ioanna attained Merits (the highest possible subject grade of 7) in Biology HL and Geography SL. A further four Merits were earned by students across Chinese B SL, Chinese B HL and Psychology SL.
These results are just some of many wonderful highlights across the entire year for our Class of 2022 – they have excelled not only academically, but across all areas of Walford school life. We can’t wait to see what they achieve next as Old Scholars of Walford!
