When you think about school camp, you may think about the inevitable challenges that will occur. While these challenges may be slightly uncomfortable at the time, it is what we gain from them that is the most valuable: stronger bonds of friendship through shared experiences, the knowledge that you can conquer those challenges and the ability to learn new things.
In Week 2 the Year 8 girls embarked on a 4-hour bus trip to the Wilderness Escape Base camp in the beautiful seaside town of Robe. The camp included challenges such as surfing, caving and hiking. Camp was the perfect opportunity to form deeper connections and grow closer to friends. The girls experienced moments that they will continue to remember for the rest of their lives. Though aspects of this camp were a challenge for some, it is certain that everyone learnt something new.
