It has been a delight to observe the Junior School round garden bed transform into a colourful display of children’s artwork this term.
Returning Junior School teacher Jade Harvey has driven this project, as Jade being an Old Scholar herself has always felt a strong connection to the round garden and its significance as part of Junior School life. Jade’s vision was to add vibrance to the round garden, so that our girls would also have fond memories of this special part of our Junior School space. The round garden bed is significant place for drop off, picks ups and as a meeting place. Prospective families meet with teachers and Walford staff here, to hear about their daughter’s Come and Try visits. Each Junior School girl has had the opportunity to design and paint a series of bricks and we thank all of our Junior School teachers who have also contributed to making this project evolve over the term.
We look forward to sharing more about the ELC and Junior school play spaces, as we move forward into 2023.
